Trooper Inn
The Trooper Inn has been at the heart of Stourton Caundle village life for hundreds of years.
The independent, family-run village pub is popular with locals and visitors alike.
There is a beautiful courtyard to the rear of the pub and an expanded beer garden to the side, both with marquees, as well as the seating to the front where you can watch the world go by – tractors, dog-walkers and may be a car.
Steeped in history, in the heart of the Blackmore Vale, this is a wonderful region to explore and we are close to the ancient market towns of Sherborne and Sturminster Newton and the borders of Somerset and Wiltshire.
Check out the Events at The Trooper Inn too.

Camping at The Trooper Inn

Set in the heart of the Blackmore Vale and less than an hour’s drive from the spectacular Jurassic Coast, The Trooper Campsite is a perfect, secluded base from which to explore the region.
This private CS Hideaway camping and caravan site is nestled in a small level field to the rear of the pub.
Close enough to enjoy the convenience of the pub, yet far enough away to absorb the peaceful countryside.
Whether in a caravan, motorhome or tent, for one night or for longer, there is plenty to see and do!
