Stourton Caundle Golf Society Monthly Report – September 2023

Well today was wet. Wet, wet, wet. I felt it in my fingers, I felt it in my toes. Yes rain was with us, but 13 of our more durable and disciplined members ventured out anyway. The greens had recently been tined, so putting was an adventure, and playing the longer back 9 holes it made for an interesting day. Well done to all those that turned up, and congrats to our winners

Joint winners today with 17 points, congrats to Paul Reynolds and Ben Pattle. Honours are shared until next month, and also a 2 point cut.

Our team winners were team Wet Wipes with an amazing 40 points. Congrats to Paul Reynolds, Ben Pattle & Rob Mitchell.

The Des Austin Challenge was won by Tom Conduit, whose enthusiasm was completely undimmed by his tee shot on the first hole, where he didn’t quite make the water. He held his head high as he played his second from the fringe
