Stourton Caundle Golf Society Monthly Report – May 2023

A truly gorgeous, warm Spring day today. The sun was out, there was a light, cooling breeze, and the birds were in full song. Perfect conditions for a round of golf, and the course was in great shape, even if a few of us golfers were not (some big Saturday nights!!). We played all the short holes for a change, and the Des Austin Challenge was for the loudest shirt.

Our stand out winner with 20 points was Noah McIntyre. A two shot cut just in time for the golf day

Our team winners were team MOPS, with 41 points. Congrats to Peter Woodman, Olly Wilkins, Mark Bridgeman (not pictured) and Simon Goodfellow (not pictured)

The Des Austin Challenge was won by Paul Wavish with this hideous shirt. Apparently he didn’t even know there was a loud shirt prize, he was wearing it anyway!
