Our friendly group meets on Monday afternoons 2pm to 4pm, from October through to Easter.
Last year, in addition, we met once a month during the warmer months to “show and tell” and socialised with a couple of lunches out together.

We enjoy knitting, crochet, sewing and tapestry. Sometimes we work on our personal projects, but mainly we produce items for charity.

Crochet seems to have been really taken up by some of the members this season and several beautiful, colourful blankets have been produced.

The charity items include cot blankets, jumpers for children and babies, knitted toys, mittens, scarves and hats of all sizes. Since the war in Ukraine started all of the charity items have all gone to Ukraine via volunteer lorries leaving from Castle Point north of Bournemouth.  They are still going there and are much appreciated.

If you or someone you know is having a sort out and has any unwanted knitting wools, (any thickness, colour or quantity) our group would love to accept it and would make very good use of it.
