Stourton Caundle Golf Society Monthly Report – April 2022

Another sunny Spring day in the shire, perfect for golf. The course was in great condition, but a few of the greens need some rain after tining, so putting was tricky in a couple of places. Didn’t seem to affect the overall happy mood of everyone though (although that may be down to the absence of your author!). We played the back nine this time, and the Des Austen Challenge was a fun one, the most outrageously dressed golfer, as judged by Chris Eve.

We had joint winners this month, both on 18 points. They were on the same team as well, so might have won everything. Well done though to Mark Goudge and Simon Price. Honours are shared between you for the next month

Team winners were team Lion Cubs, with 38 points. Congrats to Pete Blundell, Jim Ackland, John Pritchett (not pictured)and Vic Christopher not pictured). It was noted that Team Five did score more points, but were disqualified for fielding, well 5, players
