Stourton Caundle Golf Society Monthly Report – May 2022

It was a bright day, but with the occasional light shower to spice things up. We played the front 9 as normal, and the teams were made by a random draw. There were a few players returning after lengthy lay-offs, so a different field than we’ve seen lately, with some handicap adjustments well merited. The Des Austen Challenge was nearest the pin on the 1^st Hole.

This months winner was Dan Leanny, with 21 points. A two point cut and honours for the month are his reward

Team winners were team Dan, Pete, Alb, Oh Yes and Ed, with a brilliant 44 points. Congrats to Pete Blundell, Ed Cunningham, Dan Leanny and Alban Harris.

The Des Austen challenge was won by Neil Duke, who thankfully beat Roger at the end with a fantastic shot on the 1^st.
